Our guidelines help make everyone's visit to Sofia's African Hair braiding Salon a pleasurable one.
The salon policies are a useful resource for our clients to refer to as a guide to the operational policies of Sofia's African Hair Braiding Salon. Our goal is to ensure all of our clients enjoy the atmosphere and environment at Sofia's braiding.
Be advised that the styles in magazines or seen on others may vary based on each person and perception. We do not guaranty that our designs will look exactly the same as in magazines or others models you bring at the salon. We encourage customers to make suggestions, comment, and ask questions while service is being rendered in order to avoid last minute dissatisfaction.
Service rendering and duration: We do our best to provide an outstanding service to please you in a timely fashion. Though we strive to minimize the time, we cannot be liable for inconvenience due to delays or tardiness. Services will be final.
Tardy policy: Customers are encouraged to call in tardiness at least one hour in advance. If the customer shows up late, he may experience a delay in her service starting.
Hair Selection: We carry handpicked quality expression and kanekalon hair extension and imported human hair blend and encourage you to purchase one of our hair. However, you may bring your own hair, up to you.
Natural hair and texture: For any type of braids, the price may be increased if your hair is too short or too long.
Sensitive scalp: Sofia’s African Hair Braiding Salon let you know that any type of hairstyles may hurt and irritate the scalp for some people.
Time and way of payment: For security reasons, we expect to be paid at least, after 20 minutes we have started. You may pay in CASH or DEBIT CARD (Visa, MasterCard only). Card payment will charge you $ 3.00 extra
Redo/Refund policy for salon services: We do not either refund service charge fees, or do we refund products prices. Only exchanges are allowed for products. All services are non-refundable but we will be more than happy to schedule a corrective service free of charge within the 48 hours (corrective services do NOT include Hair or Extra Hair Products Needed for correction). If you are not satisfied with the service you have received, please notify us immediately prior to leaving. We would like the opportunity to redo the service prior to your departure from the salon. We do not offer refunds on services.
Braid out / take down: We take your hair out as a convenience to you; however, the service will be charged.
Touch up: We do. The service has to be evaluated at the salon. Braids will be taken out and the price will be fixed in commitment with braiders. Sofia’s African Hair Braiding Salon recommends to customers wanting touch up to wash and dry braids, before braiders proceed.
Children & Accompanying parties: For safety and convenience, we encourage our customers to please limit the number of accompany parties to one. For safety of your children, we do not advise to bring them, excepted if they are clients, or if you must for any. Please let us know in advance. The shop is not liable for any injuries sustained by your children on our premises. Please supervise your children to avoid injury.
For the privacy of our female clients: we ask to men who are not serviced to please make arrangements to wait for their party at a different location.
Privacy and use of cell phone: To guaranty the privacy of your conversation, please keep it all-private.
Tabaco, Alcohol and Others substances. In respect of the state laws and county ordinances, we advise our customers to abstain from using alcohol, cigarette, or any other unlawful substance while on our premises.
Appointments: Scheduling an appointment is preferred, as it guarantees each guest an awesome experience. Walk-Ins are welcome; however, you will have to wait for availability. Note: if you have scheduled an afternoon or evening appointment, you may or may not experience a small delay as we have to finish the first clients before starting with the next. If you want to have two (2) braiders there is a $25 extra added to the service fees. Before or after the hours of operation, there is a $10.00 fee to accommodate such scheduling.
Cancellations: Since we do not over-schedule guest, we require you to cancel within 24 hours, which allows us time to rebook another guest. If you are running late, please be courteous and contact us ASAP, as you may be running into another guest’s appointment time. You may need to be rescheduled. -last minute appointment scheduling for same day of the appointment day, please notify us at least 2 hrs in advance.
Exceptions: We do understand weather conditions and illness.
Food and Drinks: foods and drinks are allowed in the salon; however; you must clean up behind yourself. We keep the salon clean and ask that you be respectful of that.
Disrespect: Absolutely no disrespect will be tolerated in the salon. Any guest who is disrespectful will be asked to leave the salon. Please believe that we have designed an extremely warm, inviting, peaceful and professional atmosphere just for you. We want your visits to be the best ever! Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
Prepare for your appointment: Relaxed hair can be braided, but you should avoid braiding your hair immediately after getting a relaxer. Natural can be braided. We recommend that you shampoo and blow-dry your hair before your appointment, but we will be happy to do that for you for a small charge.
